A note from our Lead Nail Technician in regards to recent TPO Headlines with "no chip" polishes:

You may have seen headlines about a recent "TPO study" and I want to give you some clarity and peace of mind. 

​

This isn't new to me - about two months ago I had a zoom meeting with the Head of Education at OPI and she explained that the study was the reason they were already moving away from TPO in their formulas. The study itself was not very strong, it involved feeding large amounts of TPO to rats, which is very different from how nail products are used in the salon. In services, TPO (if present) is cured into the coating and not something ingested.

For anyone who prefers to avoid TPO altogether, we have TPO-FREE options available:

*CND Shellac (TPO-free shades)

*OPI IntelliGel (Completely TPO-free)

We do still have some older OPI and CND shellac in the salon, but if you'd like TPO-free, simply let us know.
